NFF: We are not scared of Chipolopolo - Eagles

The General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has said the Super Eagles are not scared of the Chipolopolo of Zambia in the October 7 decisive World Cup qualifier taking place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Sanusi said despite the noise being made by the Zambians in terms of preparation for the tie, the Eagles had only 90 minutes to Russia 2018. “On our part, we have done all that is necessary to ensure that Eagles berth safely in Russia.
“We have gotten the support of Mr. President Mohammadu Buhari who is keenly following the performance of the Eagles. He has promised them full support even if his door is knocked in just minutes to a match,” he said.
The Secretary said aside the support, the boys were equally desirous of going to the World Cup.
“They are eager more than any Nigerian to qualify for world’s football greatest showpiece,” he explained. He disclosed that plans for the allimportant encounter would be rolled out by the end of next week, insisting that Nigeria and Nigerians cannot afford to miss Russia 2018.
“We know what it takes to nick this match and we will not rest on oars until we secure the ticket and make the last match against Algeria later on in the year a mere formality,” he said.
