Rooney fined two weeks’ wages

Everton have fined Wayne Rooney two weeks’ wages and will donate the money to charity following his drink-driving conviction, BBC Sport reports.
Everton intend to give the entire sum – thought to be about £300,000 – to local projects through their Everton in the Community scheme.
Rooney, 31, was said to be apologetic after being told of the punishment.
He was in court on Monday after being arrested on 1 September for driving while three times the legal limit.
The former England captain was banned from driving for two years and ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.
Rooney was also ordered to pay £170 costs.
Meanwhile, Rooney is planning a tattoo sleeve featuring tributes to his wife Coleen and three sons: Kai, Klay and Kit, The Sun reports.
The move comes after his drink-drive conviction and night out with party girl Laura Simpson which led to him being banned from driving for two years.
“Wayne is planning a massive sleeve tattoo and wants to feature Coleen’s face on his arm, to prove to her he’s committed to the marriage,” says a friend of the couple.
“He wants all the kids on there too – he wants everyone to know how much his family means to him, especially as Coleen is pregnant with their fourth.
“He’s keen to show Coleen that his mistakes are in the past and that she means everything to him.
“He thinks the ink will show her how serious he is about making things right with her.”
The source says the tattoo will also feature a reference to his goal-scoring and a devil, paying tribute to the time he spent playing for Manchester United.
Wayne has previously had Coleen’s name tattooed on his right arm, above a Celtic cross.
